Mariano

Michael J.,90, life time resident of Rutherford passed away April 15th 2013. Michael was born in Rutherford to Michael J. and Bridget Margaret (nee Moran) in 1922. He was a graduate of St Mary’s HS and was proud to serve in the United States Army during World War II.
Michael was a Police Officer with the Rutherford Police Department from 1947 to 1961, a Court Officer with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department from 1961 to 1967 and Court Clerk 1967 to 1984. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he founded the Rutherford Junior Rifle Club in the mid 1960’s .
Michael will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 59 years Thelma Mary (nee Latorraca) Mariano, his son,Thomas & his wife Susan his daughter Patricia & her husband Stephen, his loving grandchildren, Tom, Catherine, Christopher and Kimberly.
He is also survived by his brother, Vincent and sister Hannah Flynn.

Funeral Friday, April 19th, 9:00AM for a 10:00am Prayer Service in the Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends in The Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave. , Rutherford NJ from 2:00 to 4:00pm and &7:00 to 9:00pm Thursday.
