Michael Beauregard Lemly, 88, of Rutherford, Captain (retired) United States Coast Guard, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2012.

Michael was a devoted father and grandfather who loved fishing, hunting, sailing and bird watching. He was also a master craftsman in woodworking which he enjoyed with a passion.

He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and retired in 1976 after 30 years of devoted service. His favorite command was as Captain of the USS Humboldt, a weather ship, because his crew was so devoted to him and the common cause of serving others to the best of their ability.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Laura (nee Rigoni). He leaves behind his four children, Michael Jr., Mark and wife Susan, Lisa and husband Daniel Kenny, and Scott and wife Erlinda, grandchildren: Kristina, Samantha, Daniel, Andrew, Samuel, Gabrielle, Vanessa and great grandchildren, Henry and Molly.

Funeral: Saturday 10:00AM Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford.
