Miriam Ann Almodar, 73, of Carlstadt passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15th 2015.
She was born in NYC, NY to William and Evelyn (nee Curoe). Miriam was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Rutherford, she enjoyed playing Bingo as a past time and she loved her cats. She was happy being a homemaker and was referred to as Nana by her 11 grandchildren, whom she adored.
Miriam is predeceased by her husband Albert (2006). She will be deeply missed by her beloved children, Carlene Hohnecker and her husband Edward, Donna Jannicelli and her husband Mark, Sharon McCallum and her husband Thomas, Tish Specchio and her husband Dean, Albert (Butch) Almodar and her loving grandchildren; Jaclyn, Raymond, Kristen, Megan,
Jesse, Tommy, Cody, Mackenzie, Jordan, Sydney and Avery. Miriam is predeceased by her siblings, Edward Campbell and Evelyn Estevez.

Funeral will be held on Monday 8:30 from the Calhoun-Mania Funeral home, 19 Lincoln Ave, Rutherford, NJ for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Internment in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington NJ.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm
