Patrick Kevin "Kevin"  McAuley
Patrick McAuley (Kevin to many) of Rutherford , NJ died on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the age of 83. Funeral will be on Wednesday 8:30 am from the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue Rutherford followed by a 9:30 Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Mary Rutherford . Entombment at the Holy Cross Mausoleum North Arlington . Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Patrick was born on February 9, 1929 in Scotland . He immigrated to the United States at the age of 17. He played soccer for the Scottish American Club of Kearny and served in the United States Army. He met and married is loving wife Margaret McAleer of Jersey City and moved to Rutherford where they raised their 4 children. Patrick was a long time and loyal employee of Mobil Oil Corporation for 32 years before retirement. Patrick was a devoted husband and his greatest joy was the time he spent with his loving wife. He was an outstanding father putting the needs of others before his own. A loving grandfather fondly referred to as “Pop” by not only his grandchildren but their friends as well.

He was an avid Ranger fan and for many years attended every home game. He spent his retirement years enjoying watching hockey, spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren. All who new Pop loved and adored him and he will be in our hearts forever. Patrick is survived by is wife Margaret (nee McAleer) of 58 years, his children, Kevin and his wife Nancey, Stephen McAuley, Eileen Watson and her husband David and the late Ann Marie McAuley (2006).He also leaves is adored grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Daniel, Shea and Evan, his niece Eileen Michie and her husband Robert and their children Sean and Kiersten and his brother Martin McAuley.
