Petar H.Stanev, PhD,73, of Rutherford passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 29th 2014.
He was born in Lyubimets,Haskovo, Bulgaria to Hristo Petrov and Vasila Dimitrova (nee Ivanova) Stanev in 1941.
Petar was the proud owner and respected geneticist for Real Invent, a genetic research company in Bulgaria before he retired in 2008. He especially enjoyed his free time with his family and his hobbies of fishing and playing Bridge with friends.
Petar will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Rositsa (nee Zamancheva), his son Christopher Stanev, his wife Vladmira and his cherished grandson Peter Stanev.

Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
Family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 from 9:00 to11:AM followed by 11:00AM Prayer Service in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
