Peter Facchini 79 a resident of Rutherford for 43 years passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 3, 2013
Peter was born in Molfetta , Italy , in 1933, to Saverio and Felicetti Facchini (nee Parisi).
Before retiring in 2003, Peter was employed for more then 30 years, as a Store Manager for Krausers in Wallington and Moonachie , New Jersey .
He was an active member with the National Federation of the Blind in New Jersey and was proud to be an Auxiliary Police Officer for the borough of Rutherford . Peter proudly served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1963 during the Korean Conflct, he was stationed in Germany.
Peter is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years Adelaide (2011). He is survived by his devoted children, Phyllis Kaupas and her husband David, his sons Peter and Daniel Facchini.
Cherished grandfather of three granddaughters Emily, Kaitlin and Daniella. Loving brother of Isabell Gallo and the late Mario Allegretta (2003).
Friends are asked to assemble for the Funeral on Monday 9:00am in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home 19 Lincoln Avenue Rutherford
Followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Liturgy in Most Sacred Heart Church , Wallington.
Family will receive friends on Saturday 7-9:pm and Sunday 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery , No. Arlington

In Honor of Peter's Service in the United States Army, we will proudly display an "Army" Flag on our flag pole in front of the Funeral Home for the duration of Visiting and Morning of Peter's Funeral Service.
