Obituary for Raymond M Steimel, Jr.

Raymond Michael Steimel Jr, 21, born May 5, 1990, a lifelong resident of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey angel on earth reported for duty in heaven 3/25/12. Raymond the “Rock” died with the comfort of his family at his side from complications after losing a year long exhaustive battle which he fought for his life, from Leukemia.
During his fight for life he had round the clock unending love and support from his mother and father, Deborah & Raymond M. Steimel Sr., the best brother and bone marrow donor Matthew Steimel, grandmother Frances Dorner, grandfather Lawrence J. Steimel, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends who survive him. The compassionate care of Kessler Rehab & Hackensack Pediatric Hospital and so many caring doctors, nurses and staff along with Tomorrow’s Children Foundation and Hasbrouck Heights Jr. football family & friends. Raymond was best known for his love, respect and care of his family. He was his brother's & family's hero. He had charm, good looks, beautiful smile, valor, strength, courage, determination, hard work, responsibility, sales talent and entrepreneurial spirit until his end on earth. He had a passion for fast cars, dirt bikes, electronics & fishing. In his last days he was quoted saying “Heaven is Freedom”. We know he made a safe journey to heaven. “Everybody loves Raymond” and he is forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
