Richard H. Reid, 90, of Lyndhurst passed away Thursday, February 2, 2022. Born in Lyndhurst to John Reid and Marguerite (nee Roseman) on September 1, 1932. Richard proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955. Richard soon married the love of his life Barbara (nee Del Grande), settled in Lyndhurst, and together they raised 5 children.

Richard will be deeply missed by his wife Barbara (nee Del Grande), his children; Karyl, John and his wife Eileen, Allison and her husband Gene, Erin Storer and her husband Scott, and Richard and his husband Austin, his grandchildren; Lauren, John and his wife Jamie, Chris, Scotty, John, Ryan, Shannon and Sean, great grandchildren; Jaylin, James and Rocco, his sister Rosemary McLaughlin, sister-in-law Judi McGarry, and many nieces and nephews. Richard is predeceased by his parents; John and Marguerite (nee Roseman) and siblings; John, Roberta, Ethel, Carol, Charles, and George.

Richard was the 2nd of 4 generations of John R Reid Plumbing and Heating in Lyndhurst. He loved spending time at the beach with his family, attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events, travel, reading, and golf.

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, February 6th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Tuesday, February, 7th at 10:30am at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home followed by an 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 149 Copeland Ave., Lyndhurst. Private Cremation.
