Collina

Robert Thomas, 70, of Rutherford, on March 12, 2012. He was born in Paterson to the late Robert and Dorothy Collina Vanderhoop (nee Legg). Robert served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1964 on a ship off the coast of Cuba during the Bay of Pigs Crisis.
He was self-employed as an IT (Information Technology) Specialist for his entire career; he was an avid dog lover and the founder of www.dogpark.us.

Robert will be missed by his loving wife Ellen Collina (nee Frank) of Rutherford, his Stepfather Cornelius Vanderhoop of Madison, Wisconsin, formerly of Haledon , his children Daniel Collina and his wife Linda of Jefferson, Kenneth Collina and his wife Lynette of Deland, FL, his brothers Guy Collina of Oxford, Douglas Collina of Westwood, Donald Collina of Westwood and Darlene Vanderhoop of Madison, WI and Stepchildren Mary Elizabeth and William. He leaves behind his five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Monday 11:00AM Prayer Service in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford. Friends attending service please arrive 10:00AM
Interment: Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.

The family will receive friends Saturday March 17, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00PM. (There are no visiting hours on Sunday)
