O'Bara Robert, 71, of Manahawkin formerly of E. Rutherford passed away with his family at his side on, April 11, 2010.
Robert was born in Philadelphia, PA to Stanley and Jean (nee Hodkwska) O'Bara.
He was employed as a Dual Rate Dealer with Caesars Boardwalk Casino, Atlantic City for 27 yrs.
Robert was the commissioner of various football and baseball fantasy leagues. He also loved to travel, play golf and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Joan (nee Serpa), his children, Robert O'Bara, Sherry Partington, Robert Kacperowski and Laura Kacperowski.
He leaves behind 4 grandchildren Coreen, Brian, Billy and Anthony.
He is also survived by his brother Ronald O'Bara.
Friends will be received on Tuesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Collins-Calhoun FH, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Mass Wednesday 11:00am St. Joseph's R.C. Church, E. Rutherford., NJ. Entombment: Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
