Obituary for Ronald A. ""Coach"" Bornemann
Ronald “Coach” Bornemann, Sr., 79 of Rutherford, formally of Jersey City, passed away on January 10, 2013 surrounded by family and loved ones. Before retiring, Ron spent most of his career in the data processing industry. Ron was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and Past Exalted Ruler of the Rutherford Elks club, to where he dedicated over 40 years of his life.
He is survived by his children Ronald Bornemann, Jr., Dineen Bornemann, Dyanne Jennerich and husband Michael.
Devoted husband to the late Margaret “Peggy” Bornemann, and loving father to the late Sharon Bornemann. Loving brother to the late William Bornemann, Sr., Robert Bornemann, Sr., and Elaine Salerno.
Cherished grandfather to Brandon, Brian, Nicholas, Amanda and Samantha. Loving great-grandfather of Hailey and Brian Jr. Dear cousin to Pat & Jimmy Castle, loving brother in law to Jack Boylan, Kathleen and Richard Erickson. Cherished uncle and cousin to many.
Those attending the funeral on Wednesday, January 15th are asked to assemble at 9:15am for a 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in St. Mary R.C. Church, Rutherford. Cremation Private.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 14th 2-4pm and 7-9pm in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaleidoscope of Hope Foundation (http://www.kohnj.org).
