Obituary for Rose Pantoliano
Rose Pantoliano, 95, of Rutherford, formerly of North Bergen, passed away Wednesday, April 22. She was born in Jersey City to Frank Turli and Antonia (nee Lullo). She married Patrick Pantoliano and settled in North Bergen to raise their children.They relocated to Rutherford and resided there for over the past 25 years.
Rose loved being surrounded by her growing family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City with a little gambling and also playing cards with her friends.
Her “number one” pastime though, was spending time with her girlfriends and the many activities available at the Kip Center in Rutherford. The Kip Center was where she spent her daily life. She loved the hot lunches, participated in the exercising classes and so many more events and activities, including many bus trips. Rose was so faithful to exercising the way she had learned at the Center, that during her last couple days of life, she was seen lifting her legs and arms while counting softly, before peacefully passing away.
Rose is predeceased by her husband Patrick(1991). She will be deeply missed by her loving children; Patricia Piccuirro, Joseph Pantoliano and his wife Barbara, Michael Pantoliano and his wife Gina, Peter Pantoliano and his wife Kathy, her beloved grandchildren; Marc, Jeana, Michael, Julie, Joseph, Jr., Kristopher, Sophia, her sweet great-grandchildren; Marlie, Sadie, Baer, Falco, her nephews Ralph Pellecchio, Larry Pellecchio, nieces Ursala Ferretti and Annette Tria.
A private Prayer Service will be offered in Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home followed by an Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
A "Celebration of life" ceremony will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Rose, donations to the Kip Center would be appreciated by her family.
