Obituary for Rose T. Murphy

Rose T.  Murphy
Rose T. Murphy, 79, of Rutherford passed away on February 13th, 2016.
She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren as she peacefully
began anew.
She was the daughter of James and Helen Skinner and the loving wife of Donald T. Murphy who passed away in 2011. They would have been married 60 years on February 11th, 2016.
Rose and Don began their family in Jersey City where they had both been born and raised. They moved to Rutherford forty years ago, raised six children and were blessed with 13 grandchildren who affectionately referred to their grandmother as "Ro Ro".
Rose retired from APA, International Division after more than 20 years as an Export Manager.
Rose will be missed by her children and their families; eldest, Bob and his wife Debbie and their children Michael, Robyn and her husband Mike Gassaro and Ryan.


Jim and his husband Errol DeJager. Steven, his wife Barbara, his daughters Samantha, Alyson, Kylie and their mother Toni, and Barbara's daughter Georgia. Rick and his wife Linda and their children Chris, Nick, Taylor and Jayson. Kelly and her husband Andy Cox, and the youngest, Suzanne and her husband Kevin Breen, her son Aiden Davis and their son Declan.

Family will receive friends at Calhoun - Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue in Rutherford on Monday from 7pm- 9pm and on Tuesday from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. The funeral on Wednesday will begin 8:30am in Calhoun- Mania departing for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary. A private cremation for immediate family will take place afterward.
