Sharon E.Twist (nee Bowie), 66, of life long resident of Rutherford, passed away on February 6, 2010 in Hackensack Med Ctr. Born in Passaic, to Halley & Vivian Bowie she lived in Rutherford her entire life graduating from Rutherford High School in l961. Sharon worked for the Boro of Rutherford in the Tax assessor's office as a cashier for twenty years. She was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Rutherford Volunteer Fire Dept. and member of The Reunion Committee of Rutherford High School.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband Thomas M. Jr. her loving son Thomas M. III and his wife Erika their new beautiful daughter Victoria Elizabeth, Sharon's beloved granddaughter, her dear sisters, Diane Gutowski and husband Walter, Arden Jernick and husband William III. Along with Her endeared Sister in laws Vanda and husband Conrad, Murial and husband Robert. Cherished nephews Darren, Ryan, William, Adam, Timothy Michael, Charlie her cherished nieces Jackie, Robin, Kim and great niece Julia and great nephews Eric, Jason, Michael and Ethan.
Funeral Wednesday 9:00am from the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home 19 Lincoln Ave. Rutherford. Followed by a 10:00am Religious Services by the Rev. Peter Wilkinson here in the funeral home. Interment Lodi Cemetery Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 6 to 9:00pm.
