Sumner Philip Lothrop, 88, of New Castle, De., passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022.  

Sumner proudly served in the United States Army in Korea.  

He enjoyed wood-working, and loved doing many home improvement projects.  

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Margaret  (Mayer) Lothrop, daughter Dawn Cook, (Fred) , son James, (Jessica) , son Paul (Renee) , and five grand-daughters, niece, Susan Windt,  and nephew Charles Schwab.     He was pre-deceased by his son John.
