Obituary for Ted F. Gonzalez
Ted Gonzalez, age 57, of Verona, formerly of Rutherford, passed away on December 24, 2013.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Ted lived in Rutherford for most of his life. He graduated from St. Mary High School in Rutherford, Farleigh Dickinson University, and Northwestern University School of Respiratory Therapy. He was a respiratory therapist and department manager at NYU Medical Center, St. Peter's Medical Center, Princeton Medical Center and other metropolitan hospitals, prior to retirement.
Ted celebrated life - He loved to share his home in the Poconos with family and friends and enjoyed sports cars, music, movies, football and the Green Bay Packers.
He had a joke and a smile for everyone he met and will be sorely missed by loved ones.
Ted is survived by his loving wife Mary Ellen Higgins of Verona, his parents Federico and Margarita Gonzalez-Ferregur of Camarillo, CA, his brother Sigfredo Gonzalez-Ferregur and wife Louise Kiesel, nephew Max Ferregur of Newbury Park, CA, and many other family members.
Visiting will be Friday, December 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. at Collins- Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral Mass of Christian Liturgy, Saturday,11am in the Church of St. Mary, 91 Home Avenue, Rutherford, NJ
