Grehan

Thomas Grehan ,80, of Rutherford for 40 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Thomas was born in Edenderry, Offaly, Ireland to Thomas and Bridget (nee Hickey) Grehan.

He was an assistant Chemist with Axel Plastic Research Laboratories, Inc. in New York for 42 years. Thomas was a proud veteran in the United States Army and was an active member at the North Jersey Irish Association of East Rutherford.

He was survived by his loving wife Mary (nee Monahan) of 52 years. His children, Gerri Gucciardo and her husband Louis, Jo-Ann Grehan (Ayala), Michael Grehan and his wife Jessica, Joe Grehan and his wife Angela, Lori Vogl and her husband Peter. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren Anthony, Peter, Nick, Michael, Gehrig, Danny, Gabrielle, Michael and great grandson Aiden. He is also survived by his sisters Kathy Santa, Phyllis Kromer and brother in- law Joe Monahan.

Friends will be received Monday January 2nd, 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Collins-Calhoun FH, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 10:30am Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford. Interment: Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
