Obituary for Thomas J. Albinski

Thomas J. Albinski. 63, of Lyndhurst, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, July 16, 2023. Born in Jersey City to Thaddeus and Rosemarie Albinski, he was the second of four children.                                                       

Tom attended Engineering school in New York City and secured employment with Con Ed as senior designer in  Central Engineering Dept.since 2005.  He was aiming to reach 20 years at ConEd until his sudden passing took that away. Thomas loved his job at ConEd.   He has received numerous citations for the projects he was part in .

Tom loves taking the train.- the NJ transit and the Path train .  He enjoys his commute into the city carrying his office backpack with him . -  New York city the city which he is very fond of , the city that never sleeps .”

Tom was a generous , kind- hearted and a good person .  Every Thanksgiving before the pandemic,  he and his wife would  bring food to the homeless at Hoboken train station. 

Tom loves the beauty and grandeur of New England, especially Maine …  the lobsters, the scenic spots , the lighthouses, the Irish bars  and the people .  

Aside from  his job at Con Ed and family, Tom’s life revolves around sports . He was a big sports fan - the NY Yankees,  the NY Giants and the NY Rangers were his favorites.   He loves golf and tennis too .  

One of his past times was to just relax and chill with either a cup of coffee at home or a cold can of Coors Light at a local sports bar with his friends or with his Babsie .💙      

Tom was an amazing brother to Paul, Judy and Carol  ; a great uncle  to his nephews and nieces and a good friend .  Above all, he was the “best husband” to his beloved wife Josie. .

Tom is predeceased by his parents Thaddeus and Rosemarie (nee Conroy) Albinski. He will be deeply missed by his wife Josie; stepchildren Paula and husband Eric & son Nico, Miguel Borja, Lorenzo Borja and Nicole Borja;   his siblings Paul Albinski ; Judith Harris and husband Cliff, Carol Dyksen, and his  nieces and nephews, Samantha, Ryan, Katie, Caroline, Tommy, Luke and many cousins.
