Toshiyoshi Arakaki, 87, of Rutherford passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at home with his family by his side. Born in Japan to Jose Ushi Arakaki and Juana Mastu (nee Ishikawa) Arakaki. He emigrated to Peru as a young child where he lived most of his life before leaving for a new life in the United States. He enjoyed gardening and mostly fishing with his family in Long Island.

Toshiyoshi is predeceased by his son Francisco (2018). He will be deeply missed by his large and growing family; his loving children, Cesar and wife Ivonne, Maria and husband Jose Kaneshiro, Jose Arakaki and wife Maryjun, Mirna and husband Jorge Kaneshiro, and Fernando Arakaki, his adored grandchildren; Cesar, Daniel, Amy, Yuyi, Akira, Michelle, Jamie, Kenneth, Terumi, Mieko, Kiyomi, Hiroshi, and Miho.

Family will receive friends Sunday August 20th from 12:00 to 3:00pm at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Hom, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Private Cremation.
