Wendy L. Wesp, 66, of Wayne, NJ, formerly of Rutherford, passed away suddenly at her home on January 25th, 2021. She was born in Hackensack to Robert and Beverly (nee DeKoning) Wesp on Christmas Day 1954.
Wendy attended Rutherford High School and later graduated from Bergen Community College where she received her certification in Early Childhood Education. For many years she worked as a preschool teacher including teaching at the Rutherford Childcare Center at the Congregational Church. She continued her education and earned a diploma in Administrative Office Technology at the Plaza School of Technology.
Wendy’s true passion was music. She was a banquet music organizer who managed entertainment for events, showcases, and weddings in the tri-state area. Wendy was an accomplished singer with a deep love of all music who performed professionally at various venues for over 20 years. She toured with her band in younger years, and later sang and emceed weddings and special events. Wendy wrote, sang, performed, and recorded her original work in collaboration with other professional musicians.
Wendy is survived by her loving and devoted sister Sharon Reinhardt and husband John, along with her nieces Lisa (Molner) Gulino, Katie (Reinhardt) Sees and family, and great-nephew, Joseph Gulino.
Memorial donations may be made to God’s Creatures Ministry who lovingly re-homed Wendy’s beloved tortoiseshell cat, Fergie.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17th at 1:30 PM at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, NJ. Family and friends should meet inside front gate near office.
