Barbara, or mom to me, was such an amazing person. She was a such strong caring person who would do anything for you. Always wanting to sit and talk with you, making you feel welcome all the time. I never remember her ever being angry at you, or getting upset with you, she always carried herself with such grace. She cared deeply about her family and loved to spend time with them. My fondest memories were about spending holidays with her and Pops. The house was always decorated, food and drink and good cheer were a staple. Mom would always want us to come to her, it was never any trouble to cook and take time to sit with us. She made the best sausage stuffing at Thanksgiving, and her percolated coffee was amazing! When I was pregnant with Kelly she retired to take care of her when I had to go back to work. Having an infant all day is a lot of work, but she never complained. She loved it, and Kelly loved being there. I am so grateful for her support, giving me and Nick the ability to work and not worry about day care. Her strength continued in facing all that life thew at her, and she had a lot. I never knew someone so strong who could handle it all, and yet still make you feel at ease. She was, and is, an amazing woman. In the years that flown bye she always made me feel part of the family no matter what. Her love allowed the family to thrive, and I can never repay her for the love & care she gave Kelly. She was there for us always, and I will miss her. I hope that she knows how much she meant to me. She will always be my mother in law, a person who shared 31 years of my life. I hope you are at peace now Mom and without pain. Continue to watch over us as we need your strength.
