Condolences

Condolence From: Sr. Maureen Hickey
Condolence: Dear Karen and Allison, I was shocked to hear of Ed's death. My deepest sympathy to you both on this loss. After Robert called me, memories flooded back of family gatherings and my many conversations with him during the time I babysat for you, Allison. Vietnam deeply scarred him. Know that I hold all of you in prayer at this time. May God bless you abundantly! Love, Maureen

Condolence: I am Ed's son in-law and though I only knew him a short time, I did learn that he loved his music, his sports, his email, and his daughter, my lovely wife. He was quick with a email to make you laugh. When we did chat or email we shared a same thoughts on politics, and we shared a laugh. I will miss him deeply, and always be grateful to him for for raising a great girl for me to marry.

Condolence: I first met Ed at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn N.Y. It was early dec 1965. Ed had one of the most important jobs there. Everyone would see him daily---He was the guy that gave you letters from home---He was the Mail Clerk! I got to know Ed, his music, sports and sense of humor pretty well, not to mention his laugh! He showed me his brooklyn neighborhood, Rockaway beach and Yankee stadium, Mantles last year.
The summer of 68 saw Ed coming west. He met me in Portland, Oregon at my folks house. From there we drove to So Cal, Buena Park to be exact...i took him to Disneyland. Years later he claims to have had his first ever Taco on that trip. Ed to me was just the most unforgetable "Good Ole Boy" Brooklyn style! It's very fortunate we were able to communicate via E-Mail these last few years. don moe
