Fish story
Janet seldom gave any indication she thought children were misbehaving ,if the parents were there. A notable exception was our son's refusal one night to eat fish. Janet thought guests should eat what was provided. Bill (age 6 or so)and his grandfather came in from fishing ,we all expected him to relate the fish served to the fish he caught, just not in this way. His response to Nan , when she asked why he was not eating his food ,was "no I'm not going to eat them, they had eyes."
