Condolences

Condolence From: John Burkett
Condolence: I met John in Mrs. Dunphy's German class at Rutherford High School. he was usually quiet but he would smile a lot in that class. We also hung out with Scott Davies and Bruce Mailey after we all got out of H.S. John was different after his service in Vietnam, but he was still a good loyal friend. If your car broke down late at night John was the guy you called.
I remember a Presidents day (work was snowed out) in 1979 (I think) when we bought a toboggan and went to a golf course near West Orange and proceeded to hold Olympic Trials at night. We had been partying (we even Bar B Cued) all day and it is the memory of John smiling and laughing as we flew down the hill running over people that we couldn't see because of the snow blowing in to our faces. We would climb back up the hill and do it over and over again.
Ask Scott or Jimmy Hemmel, that was the most we had ever seen John laugh!
I'll miss John.
John Burkett

Condolence: Dear Kenney Family,
John was always a great guy and a good friend. At Rutherford High School he was my best friend. He was at our wedding, and I cherish the memory of him being there. Although we lost touch and our lives took different paths, I have always thought of John through the years. Our friendship will remain with me forever and I will always hold him in my heart. Both Wendy and I are sorry for your loss. Hopefully John and I will meet one day in heaven.

Condolence From: Bruce Mailly
Condolence: Please accept my condolence for your loss. The John Kenny I knew so long ago was a great guy and he will be missed. While I lost the opportunity to visit with John when to I moved to California in 1987 in the past twenty five years I have thought of him often as I reminisced about the good times we had together. John was a good friend form high school days on and I will never forget him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with his passing. I hope you take some comfort in knowing that while John is gone from us he has moved on to a better place. God bless you.
