The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joseph Mainenti can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Life Long Friend

To the Mainenti Family, My friendship with Joe goes back to about second grade, School 20? about 1949. That is when I met Joe. As I grew up I got to know the whole family, especially his Mom(who, I later knew as Whilamina) always Mrs. Mainenti. Joe and I continued our friendship and education at Saint Theresa's School in Paterson. Over the course of time we became friends with Pete and Lucille and sister Gloria. In 1964 when we were getting ready to be married, We visited the family on Madison Ave. Pete and Lucille were at about the same stage of life. Lost touch and in 1977 while first living in Florida our paths crossed again when we were reacquainted with Mrs.M she said, "your not little Tommy Culleton from Paterson??"(235 lbs of little T.) It was a wonderful opportunity to get back together with a great group of people. We visited Joe and his new family on one of our winter visits north. Only last October while in N.J. did I call Joe and we met and had lunch in the Pompton Dinner. We reminisced about the past and talked about what good friends talk about. God Love you Joe Mainenti you were always my good friend.
