Fond Memories
When we came to St. George in 1967, she was just a teenager, so there are many memories of Mary. There are two that I would like to share. The first one is when I invited her to my home to show me how to make ahladakia. This was many years ago because she brought Tony along with her since he wasn't old enough to go to school. The other memory is a more recent one. As is typical, each of us has a favorite spot to sit in church. For me, it was the left side near the aisle. Mary would sit right behind me and sing along with the choir during the Liturgy. I loved hearing her melodious voice. Throughout her illness, she showed profound faith and will be missed by many. May her memory be eternal!
