On this anniversary of the passing of our dear Florence I wanted to express how many fond and loving memories I have growing up with Florence and Alice.

I will never forget the beautiful trips to the Bronx Zoo. As children my parents, sister and I would enjoy going through the zoo admiring the many animals. Then later I took my children with my parents, Florence and Alice to continue the tradition to give them the same magical experience and memories.

Every week we attended the bible study meetings in their home in the Bronx with their dogs who were extremely protective of Florence. We would all have a meal or a snack while fellowshipping and the dogs would not leave Florence's side

My dad and Florence had a very special bond. They loved to not only discuss the scriptures but to exchange poems. They both had a love of poems and would recite them and create them. Even when my parents had retired to Germany they still kept in touch and exchanged poems on a regular bases. Dad always looked forward to the next poem from Florence.

I was so blessed to have known Florence and to have had her in my life. I am continued to be blessed to have George and Alice in my life now and thank my Heavenly Father for his continued love and blessings.
